A Time to Rest, Rejoice & Request

This past month I had the blessing of two weeks off from work at CBU, since my job is active 10 months each year. With some of the time I was able to rest and reflect, quite a bit. For our update, we would like to share some pictures, praises and prayer requests.

Praise Reports:

  1. July 1, Husband, Zachary and I toured the Master's University, and Zachary said it was his favorite college tour, so far; he also enjoyed his first time eating sushi, and we had a great conversation (picture #1);
  2. July 4, Husband and I celebrated by taking "A," an international student athlete to the airport, before she went back home to Western Europe; I met her at work, and it was a gift befriending her; I gave her a copy of the "Gospel Primer" and pray the Lord continues drawing her to Himself (picture #2);
  3. Husband and I had the blessing of meeting up and sharing with two young couples that are courting;
  4. Husband and I were able to fellowship with a brother and another family for lunch - we had not seen the family in over 2 years, and it was a joy to share about the goodness of the Lord in both of our lives (picture #3);
  5. I started reading, "God does his best work with empty," and I linked up with a few other (older) ladies <3 also going through it; and
  6. July 18, Husband and Zachary toured SDSU, the last college on his list.

General Prayer Requests (the Lord's will in all):

  1. Husband and I (and/or another male pastor/leader from our church) have been invited to attend ITA's annual conference in Rome, January 2023;
  2. Unity in marriage & family;
  3. To seek God’s glory & submit to His will, above all else;
  4. To walk in the gospel & bear fruit of the Spirit;
  5. Continued direction/balance, especially as Husband prepares for year two of bible training starting in September (three years total);
  6. To slow down, fix my eyes on and abide in Christ; to fulfill my roles well as a wife, parent, staff member & neighbor; peace & strengthened faith, despite ongoing physical challenges and anxiety;
  7. Zachary will be making some important life decisions in the next year - guidance and wisdom; also, his permit test is on August 5; and
  8. Hacob & Zachary to bear consistent/genuine fruit of salvation.
