We Want to Hear from You
Happy New Year Beloved! To start off 2022, Husband and I would love to hear from YOU :D What is one area we can be praying for you and what can we give praise to the Lord for 2021, together? You can respond directly to this email or "enter your comment" at the bottom of the blog post. Also, we would like to share our vision, too. For those that do not know, several years ago, Husband and the boys started writing out their annual goals on a poster board. Since getting married, we now get a little more creative and hang them on the wall as a reminder and encouragement. (Enjoy the PJs :D)
Top priorities for us include our relationship with the Lord, each other and others. We want to better use our gifts, resources and time, to the building up of His bride and kingdom. And I am reminded Christ and the Spirit live in us, to carry it out. You and I are precisely where He has us for the good work before us.
As you may be aware, we leave for Rome this Sunday, January 8. This week I have been getting items in order, and Thursday was no different. Except for it was. Unbeknownst to me, I had a flat tire coming home from morning bible study. Once I realized, I was unsure what to do. But by God's grace, I slowed down, got to the right and pulled off on Madison. Then my gut instinct was to panic and call my husband. While waiting for roadside assistance, the Lord gave me calm and an opportunity to reflect on the delightful message I had just heard: Jesus became a curse for us, so we could be made right with God (Galatians 3:10-14). When Daniel from the insurance arrived, He asked how I was. I shared how full I was from study and that God had given me peace and protection, in spite of circumstances. He said, 'not a good day for me.' Once done putting on the spare, he said, 'Have a blessed afternoon.' With that, I asked if there was something I could be praying for. I will simply state, two times, he affirmed, 'God is testing me.' I reminded him of God's love and that even if his circumstances remained the same or got worse...he just wants his heart. Go to Him. Needless to say, I felt overjoyed that the Lord could prepare and use me to encourage a young man who was clearly hurting and in need of God (please lift up a prayer for him).
Today, we are thankful for another year to proclaim the gospel and declare all the good work the Lord is accomplishing and the privilege to grow in Christ-likeness with you. Please do let us know how we can spur you on to faith and good works.
